Sharing

To share on websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin, simply provide the link to the branded storybook in the text entry box, and add in any other text you'd like in the post.

For sharing via sites such as Instagram that lack a text entry submission method, you can use the Loom extension on Google Chrome, or a screenshot/screen-capture video to post the book, and provide a link to your listings in your user bio.

Pinterest can be done with a screenshot or screen-capture as well, and you can add a link to the post that will take users direct to the storybook online!

Facebook provides a free-to use share link preview tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

You can use that tool to check how your storybooks will look when shared on facebook, and other platforms have similar tools.

The best way to ensure you have a good image in place for your sharing image preview on social media, You'll want to have a base image in place for the cover page of your project, and its best to ensure you're using a slideshow as your interactive feature, or just a flat base image.

Build-Your-Own Templates

If you're using a build-your-own template, you can have any interactive feature in place on your cover page, and as long as you have a base image in place, it will be what is used for your sharing preview image.

Print-Capable Templates

If your project is one of our print-capable templates, which doesn't allow you to customize the layout and page count, you'll need to have the cover page as a flat image, or slideshow in order to ensure that the image in place is used as your share preview image.

To update the sharing image preview, simply update the storybooks cover image as described above, and it will change the preview image.

Embedding

To share the book via email, you can head to the "Embed Code" option under the blue drop-down menu in "Purchased Projects" next to the book you'd like to share.

From there, follow the on-screen sharing instructions for MailChimp campaigns or other emails. Be sure to use Command/Control + C to copy, rather than right-clicking on the image.

A third option for sharing your website online is to embed it within a webpage. The HTML code under 'Option 3' can be used to embed your storybook live into a website, no click through or opening new windows needed! You'll need access to the HTML or HTML builder of the webpage to use this code, and it cannot be used in emails.

Please note that when using an embed code for the studeo shelf or for an individual storybook, you can alter the "height" parameter in the code to get a better fit for your individual website.

One last note about embedding your storybooks. Both your storybook domain and the website domain you're embedding it into needs to be https compliant, having an SSL certificate. Otherwise, the embedded storybook may not be able to load. One quick way to check is to go to the storybook or website and look for the small lock to appear next to the URL in your browser's address bar.
